SMARTLAM 3.0
Semi-automatic individual pressure polishing machine
With the SMARTLAM® 3.0, LAM PLAN is offering an economic solution for the automated grinding-polishing of metallographic samples. The SMARTLAM® 3.0 is equipped with a special new motorised head, composed of a 3-holed sample holder and an individual pneumatic pressure system. Using reducer rings will enable you to polish samples from Ø 25,4 mm to 50 mm.
The geared motor set provides a high torque, the speed and direction are ajustable. The individual pneumatic pressure system, led by an electronic control valve, ensures maximum regularity of the polishing results. The applicable pressure per sample is 5 to 60 N.
The SMARTLAM® 3.0 resumes the basis that is trusted and approved by the SMARTLAM® 2.0, where it retains all interest in a manual usage (switching on/off the sample holder head by touch screen). The machine provides performances enabling the use of a plate from Ø 200 to 300 mm. The rotation direction of the plate and the speed are adjustable from 20 to 650 rpm.
The motorised head is ultra-compact as the power supply unit is fixed on the side of the machine. The head rotates to totally free up the workspace in order to facilitate the replacement of the polishing supplies and the regular cleaning of the machine.
All functions of the plate and head are operated from the touch screen. The programs can be saved in the machine’s internal memory.
For greater efficiency, you have the option of adding the 909 M automatic dosing unit to the SMARTLAM 3.0. This would make an extremely versatile polishing device, economical and competitive as well.
