CASE HISTORY: PIRELLI TYRE S.p.A. Turnkey power plant

The plant realized is the most technologically advanced and efficient in the Pirelli Group in terms of innovation of product, manufacturing processes, with an high attention to sustainability and the quality of the work environment.

The scope of the project can be summerized as following:

Through the detailed study of the existing situation and the technical requirements of the client, our technical department developed the best technological solution with particular attention to energy saving, efficiency and reliability of the whole equipment.

The project included the design of the process system in power plant regarding

- steam production and distribution

- feed water with osmosis treatment and deareation system

- methan gas and heavy oil

- hot water production

- combustion analysis

- steam flow measurement

The supply was complete of the development of all design document as functional diagram, power plant layout, assembly drawing of all components.

LCZ steam boiler generator supply can be summarized as following:

- High efficiency water tube steam generator series LCZ-CFD2525 with an efficiency of 95% with economizer

- Industrial dual fuel natural gas / heavy oil burner, to assure to the customer to work for any eventual absence of natural gas at the plant

- Burner sound proofing box, to reduce at minimum the noise of it

- O2 control and regulation system, to save the environment and reduce the emission in air

- Water, steam, natural gas, heavy oil flow meters, to have all consumption values under control every time

- Economizer suitable for natural gas to save up to 5% of energy, heating feed water by the flue of the LCZ water tube generator

- Flue gas by-pass for heavy oil working

- Regulation and safety accessories

- PLC based control panel
