STAS acquires a new labeling machine
A new service of STAS
The new STAS-LIFTEUROP labeling machine enables the data that has to appear on the identification labels of textile lifting slings to be encoded and saved in a specific program.
Up until now, the information on the labels was encoded manually, but the textile sling, a flagship product amongst our lifting accessories, is becoming increasingly popular. We have therefore adapted our identification system.
Your benefits?
You enjoy improved responsiveness, our labels are easier to read and you get the reassurance of using a sling that complies with standards. You can also, upon request, receive custom labels.
Why label each sling?
Standard EN 1492-1 calls for a label to be present on any textile sling.
A color code indicates what the sling is made of, green for polyamide (PA) and blue for polyester (PES). The following information appears on this label:
- name of the manufacturer,
- WLL,
- sling length,
- sling material,
- product certificate number,
- CE mark,
- date of manufacture.
To ensure optimum safety, diagrams indicating the WLL based on the lifting angle appear on our labels. This will make our slings much easier for you to use.
