Depending on whether you need extra protection for your labels against harsher chemical or weathering conditions that our normal stock and finished label output print are not capable of achieving (within specifications on technical data and material data safety sheets) then additional lamination in one form or another may be advisable: This can be from simple push/pull labels, where our CPMR47/CPMR47-RC Abrasion Guard / UV Security resin ribbon is more than capable of offering resistance to more intense scratch and repeated/constant manipulation of label (after application on required surface). Any of our Clear (Transparent) vinyl or polyester faced materials (i.e., please make sure to laminate vinyl on vinyl and polyster on polyster as polyster is more dimenstionally stable than vinyl which tends to shrink over time) can also be used for extra protection and in the case of CPMSP01 you can get UL recognised approval (7816E UL and cUL recognized (File MH18072)). We also offer polycarbonate lamination (for shock resistance in the case of control panels for instance). The 75 micron (CPMSP98) is easier to cut through however if you are laminating vinyl, then the 125 micron should still be fine. Instructions are provided on how to adjust the printer dial depth and in some instances reduce the gap in the cutter blade manufacturer's settings to let the cutter blade (that makes the incision in the print media face film) protrude out more. If you require a matt finish we also do the CPMSP12, however our CPMSP13 Matt White Polyester can also achieve this as a print media face film (rather than a laminate) along with the CPMSR60/CPMSR60-RC Matt Black Universal Resin Ribbon. If you require a lamination against even harsher chemicals and environments, then the CPMS97 (PVF) is the best solution altogether.
