New EHO58 absolute encoder with Energy Harvesting Technology
Lika Electronic has launched the new EH058 series of absolute encoders equipped with optical scanning and Energy Harvesting Technology.
The EHO58 is the new series of absolute encoders from Lika Electronic equipped with optical scanning and the SSI and BISS interfaces.
It is built in a standard 58-mm flange diameter housing with either solid (Ø 6, 8, 9.52, 10, 11, 12 mm) or blind hollow (Ø 14, 15 mm) shafts. It is designed to operate in typical industrial environments and provides IP65 protection rate as well as the ability to withstand temperature fluctuations between -25°C and +85°C (-13°F +212°F).
The EHO58 encoder uses an optical measuring method and achieves up to 25 bit singleturn resolution (33,554,432 cpr) and up to 16 bit multiturn resolution (65,536 revolutions).
It also integrates the Energy Harvesting Technology circuit. The advantage is that the multiturn counter is battery-free and gearless, allowing the encoder to be lighter and more compact and to reduce the risk of mechanical failures. The absolute position is provided via the SSI and BiSS C-mode interfaces through cable and connector connections. Also the Universal power supply circuit is very useful, it enables an input voltage of +5Vdc +30Vdc.
The EHO58 encoder is highly flexible and multi-purpose and strikes a careful balance between providing adequate protection in industrial environments and ensuring accuracy and safe signal transmission. It is ideally suited for installation in advanced industrial automation applications, such as in packaging machinery, food and beverage industry, metal and plastic working machinery, woodworking machinery, stone and marble working machinery, lines for production and processing of paper and board, textile machinery, conveyor and handling systems, etc.
