A recent expansion of the LINAK® product portfolio for comfort furniture creates a handful of new options – all in one stroke, so to speak.

The linear actuator LA18 IC (Integrated Controller) enables you to broaden your range of bed designs – to some it might even expand the product portfolio with new bed designs.

Traditionally, when creating adjustable comfort beds with LINAK® actuator systems in Europe, designers have mainly used the TWINDRIVE® dual actuators, TD4 and TD5. Both actuators have integrated controller, allowing designers to create beds around compact and discreet adjustment systems, and still have features, such as Under Bed Light, massage motor and wireless control.

Adding the LA18 IC to the product portfolio manufacturers of single actuator beds avoid having to modify their bed frame from using a single actuator system to using a dual system in order to take advantage of all the integrated LINAK features. Manufacturers can simply choose to create a system consisting of a series of powerful LA18 IC single actuators – even without finding space for a control box.

The integrated controller in the LA18 IC actuators allows the main actuator to control one or more actuators – connected via a 6-pole minifit. Being able to deliver a push of 6,000 N the LA18 is ideal for large and more robust bed designs. Despite the powerful capability it operates quietly and smoothly.

Designing adjustable beds with a single actuator system has also been made easier than before. The LA18 IC comes with an optional click-on back fixture (Ø33.8 mm), making mounting the actuators to the bed frame quick and simple. Furthermore, the built-in Bluetooth® Low Energy technology (BLE) enables you to utilise the wealth of cool features available with our newest hand controls: HC40 FRAME™ or HC40 TWIST™.
