STN LCD has wider viewing angle than TN LCD displays, the twist angle of STN LCD is 240 degree, they offer better display contrast than TN LCD technology. STN LCDs are used for dot matrix lcd display by its better contrast, it support 1/240 duty (240 commons) displays.

HTN (High-Twisted Nematic) LCD Displays: HTN LCD displays technology is the technology between TN LCD and STN LCD, its twist angle is 110 degree, it support driving commons up to 8 commons (1/8 duty) .
