Weighing scale displayed in fish tank at beer festival

Weighing scales manufacturer Marsden have put a waterproof weighing scale to the test at a beer festival by showing it in a fish tank full of water.

Marsden demonstrated how waterproof their B-100 Bench Scale is by submerging it in water for three days at BeerX, a festival and exhibition organised by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA).

The B-100, which after three days in water still worked perfectly, was being pitched to brewers and cider makers as the perfect weighing scale for measuring ingredients, like hops, malt and fruit. Its IP68 rating means it can get completely wet yet still work.

Marsden’s Marketing Manager David Smith said: “BeerX was the perfect opportunity to show how we can help improve the brewing process, with accurate, robust professional scales.

“The B-100 in the fish tank attracted a lot of interest – several people asked where the fish was, and many were so impressed they purchased a B-100 on the spot!”

BeerX took place at Sheffield, South Yorkshire’s Ice Arena between 16th - 19th March. The B-100 can be seen at http://www.directindustry.com/prod/marsden-group-123719.html#product-item_1554943.
