Machining of the hard-to-machine materials such as nickel and titanium alloys is a common challenge. Even more so when machining small parts such as microturbine components. Chip machining in a tight space with a diameter of Ø 3.5 mm and a long overhang is a compelling problem for many. MASAM with its tools was able to increase the machining of INCONEL 713 LC material to 70 mm / min, where a competing manufacturer recommended a feed of 18 - 24 mm / min.
