On the Strengths of Modularized Planetary Gear Reducers

Our original product, the Matex Planetary Gear Module, is a modularized version of the typical gearhead design. In other words, our Planetary Gear Module consists only of the gear parts.
　This space-efficient structure offers a high degree of design flexibility, allowing for the design of mechanisms suited to your exact needs, including extremely compact products. Furthermore, it is possible to incorporate our module into your design even without any specialized gear know-how, saving precious time and R&D resources.
　By connecting multiple Modules together in a multi-stage configuration, it is possible to achieve a wide range of speed ratios. For example, connecting two Modules with a speed ratio of 3 results in a two-stage configuration with a speed ratio of 9.

　Our products are most often used in a coaxial configuration. However, the modularized design also makes it possible to select other input/output configurations, such as using the internal gear as input or output.
The assembly process is simple, as our Module can be easily fixed into any case using bolts and the key-shape of the internal gear.
