Planetary Gear Reducers consist of three main components: a sun gear, a planetary carrier, and an internal gear. It is possible to reduce speed by setting each of these components as the input, fixed, or output, allowing for different uses depending on the device for which speed reduction is desired.
Our standard products are generally used with the sun gear as input, internal gears as fixed, and planetary carrier as output.
When using a wheel-in motor, it is common to fix the internal gear, use the sun gear as input, and connect the planetary carrier to the wheel as output, but it is also possible to fix the planetary carrier, use the sun gear as input, and connect the internal gear to the wheel (output).
