Gear reducers used in vacuum cleaner brush heads must be able to withstand the frictional heat generated by high rotational speeds and be compact enough to fit into limited spaces.
Matex has developed a custom planetary gear reducer using a special plastic with excellent heat resistance. While capable of withstanding high-speed operation, it features a compact design with an outer diameter of just φ19 mm. By housing both the motor and the gear reducer inside the brush head, it helps achieve both space savings and the necessary performance.
