Syntesi air treatment unit by Metal Work
Syntesi comes with an intelligent modular connecting system and removable pneumatic compressed air fittings, which are hexagonal bushings that are inserted in the body. So the same body can take bushings with different threads, 1/8”, 1/4”, 3/8”, GAS or NPT, or even a push-in fitting for the desired pipe diameter. To connect two bodies together, such as a regulator and lubricator, a special hexagonal nipple is used instead of the threaded bushings. This eliminates the need for traditional connecting elements, such as tie rods, cams and yokes, making the system simpler and more economical.
Each module - whether it be a regulator, filter, valve or progressive starter – has an 1/8” port on the front and one on the back that can be used as air intakes or for connecting gauges or pressure switches.
The knob on the regulator or hand-operated valve can be padlocked via the plate and latch on it.
After testing, each module is laser-marked with full technical details, the ordering code and the date of manufacture. Thanks this highly flexible technology, any kind of customer logo or wording can be applied.
An interesting innovation in the design is that the body and bowl come in a single piece, unlike the traditional solution in which separate parts are fixed together – further proof of Metal Work''s emphasis on simplicity, ease of use and a reduced number of component parts.
To clean or replace the filtering element, all you have to do is unscrew the glass. The design team conducted FMEA to examine defects of the bayonet couplings and discovered they often jam when the product accumulates dirt from the external environment following prolonged use. A sturdy threaded element, on the other hand, can always be removed, and more intuitively than with certain bayonets that are more suited to laboratories than workshop environments.
The first step is the launch of size 1, which covers threads ranging from 1/8” to 3/8” and can be used in 80% of applications. Size 2, with threaded fittings up to 1”, will be launched subsequently.
