Magnetic coupling
A look in to it
The magnetic coupling is a component that enables the transfer of torque from a primary shaft to a secondary shaft using a permanent magnetic field instead of a mechanical connection.
The use of a magnetic coupling is recommended in applications where it is essential to hermetically separate two areas, preventing fluid or gas leakage from one environment to another.
A classic example is its application in fluid transfer pumps, where the pumped fluid must not come into contact with the external environment.
Additionally, the use of a magnetic coupling prevents the transmission of vibrations, axial, and radial loads to the pump shaft.
THE BENEFITS.
-Elimination of any possible leakage
-No maintenance
-Reduction of vibrations
-Hermetic separation of two zones.
-Limiting a maximum torque value
-ATEX applications
