MPI-D is intended to measure process values in industrial applications. It is designed to work with devices and sensors that communicates by digital bus: RS-485 standard with Modbus RTU protocol and HART standard.
● 20 channel for measured process values:
◦ 18 channels designed to read data from sensors and instruments with digital protocol (HART or Modbus RTU)
◦ 2 digital imputs (PULS) for state, pulse or frequency measurements; OC, voltage or NAMUR configuration.
● HART:
◦ HART port with power supply for sensors (24 VDC /50 mA), up to 12 sensors in multidrop configuration,
◦ supported rev.4., rev.5., rev.6. Possible configuration as Primary or Secodary Master.
◦ read variables: PV - primary variable, SV – secondary variable, TV - third variable, FV - fourth variable.
● Modbus RTU (RS485 Port):
◦ sensors or instruments connected in parallel to one twisted pair of wires,
◦ baud rate from 1200 bps to 115200 bps,
◦ available functions: 03 (Read Holding Register) and 04 (Read Input Register), registers in the range 0 ... 65535.
◦ data format: unsigned integer, integer, unsigned long, unsigned long swapped, long, long swapped, floating point, floating point swapped.
● PULS inputs:
◦ measurement frequency range 0.001 Hz to 10 kHz,
◦ pulse counting for totalisers,
◦ tracking a binary signal (short or open circuit).
● 16 math channels can display calculated result based on measured or calculated values.
● Two totalisers for each channels (measured or calculated); possible also to read values directly from the transmitter via HART or Modbus RTU.
● 4 relay outputs for alarm or control functions.
● Graphic LCD TFT color display, 42 mm X 70 mm, resolution 240 px X 300 px.
● Communication with master system:
◦ galvanically isolated RS-485 port; protocols: ASCII and Modbus RTU,
◦ Ethernet port, Modbus TCP, Web Server.
● USB port on the front panel.
● Advanced authorization functions; users and passwords; event log.
● Writing to internal 2GB memory.
● Tracking the value of the minimum, maximum and average of each of the measured and calculated channels.
Application:
● Multi-point measurements of temperature and other physical quantities (e.g. humidity, pressure) with local result readings and data transmission to a master computer or control system.
● Local storage of results with basic control and alarming functionality.
● Operation in dispersed measurement systems with local readings of measurement results.
