Pressure Transmitter Application In Oil Hydraulic System of Hydropower Station

1 Background Description:

The governor system works to adjust the power output and rotation rate of water turbine engine unit. While oil hydraulic system is the operation system of governor system in hydropower station. The stability and reliability have an important influence in normal operation of the water turbine.

2. Problem existed:

There is a problem existed in one hydropower station which has established for a long time. The open, close, and automation rotation adjustment of the water turbine are powered by the oil hydraulic system. Great changes of the governor oil pressure and over frequent actions brings a lot of safety issues:

(1)The Pressure gauge in use with small contract capacity leads to sparks frequently when turn up and poor contact.

(2)Lack of good man-machine interface leads to incapability of outer communication. Important input and switch signal like main default signal of governor cannot be connected.

(3)Imbalance of equipment utilization that the main pump operates while the spare one stands by for long time. The spare one cannot be checked which make it lose efficiency easily once emergency situation occurred.

(4)Imperfect protection system. Old electric design, incomplete function and low quality pressure element cannot operated well to open or stop automatically after long time use.

C: Better utilization of equipment

Based on the analog output signal and controller relay spot, the main and spare pump can operate alternatively. What’s more customers can adjust the spare pump with the help of MFK5081 flow switch as the flow annunciator.

D: Optional installation available

Our products are installed with removable installation joint, connector terminals and can be installed according to different needs. There are protection covers for water-proof, dust-proof as well as short-cut proof too.

The pressure transmitting controller are suitable to in governor system and helps to develop the self-protection and automatic operation of hydropower station.
