Thuringian world market and technology leader in the acoustics sector - Microtech Gefell at the 17th Thuringian Foreign Trade Day

At the end of the year, Microtech Gefell was able to announce the successful realization of a major order of a special kind in the six-figure euro range. The newly developed microphones, which were gold-plated at the customer's request, are being used as part of a major project to renovate existing audio systems in Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia. A particular challenge was to develop a microphone that could take over the function of three of the microphones previously used on site in one microphone housing. Building on years of experience with cardioid microphones, such as the KEM 975 with eight microphone capsules, which, among others, is used in numerous parliaments around the world, MTG was able to develop a suitable solution. The MKM 403 has three independent 4th generation M 40 capsules/microphone channels, each with an MV 400 X microphone preamplifier, which is optimized for both the front and side areas.
