ROTARY TABLE FOR MULTICOMPONENT MOULDS

thanks to an integrated rotating table, it is now possible to adjust moulds with up to three components safely and in less time.

Millutensil is aware that the multicomponent mould sector is growing strongly (e.g. lighting sector) and proposes an innovating solution to facilitate the adjusting of this type of moulds. Thanks to an integrated rotating table in the BV28E/R-G and BV30E/R-G die & mould spotting presses, it is now possible to adjust three-component moulds, too. The particular feature of three-component moulds is that a first component/colour is injected into the mould during production.

Afterwards, the mould is split, rotated, closed, and then a second component is injected. Lastly, the mould is split again, rotated by further 120', closed, and then a third and last component is injected.

As a consequence, three-component moulds also need specific adjusting in the three positions from 0' to 120', and subsequent positioning with rotation in 120' steps. Of course the integrated rotating table facilitates adjusting of two-component moulds, too, with 0' and 180' positions.

Moreover, it offers the advantage that it is perfectly integrated in the die & mould spotting press and thus enables to use the entire plate surface for the mould fixing, differently from non-integrated tables that also cause a considerable waste of time for tooling. This innovation shows the special and continuous attention that Millutensil pays to the new needs in the field of mould adjusting, since moulds are becoming more and more complex.
