MinebeaMitsumi plants 100 Sakura Trees in Košice, Slovakia
100 Years of Japanese – CzechoSlovak Diplomatic Relations
On the Occasion of 100 Years of Japanese – CzechoSlovak Diplomatic Relations, a Commemorative Plaque will be installed officially in spring 2020.
The Japanese Ambassador in Slovakia, His Excellency Jun Shimmi, initiated the planting of 500 Sakura Trees (Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees) on the occasion of 100 years Japanese –CzechoSlovak Diplomatic Relations. MinebeaMitsumi and its subsidiary Minebea Slovakia s.r.o., located in Košice since 2018, support this initiative. This autumn, MinebeaMitsumi plants 100 Sakura Trees, of which 50 are planted in Košice city, and 50 near the MinebeaMitsumi factory and the U-Shin plant. Today the official donation contract was signed by Košice’s mayor Jaroslav Polaček and Radoslav Pastorak, General Manager of Minebea Slovakia. The unveiling of the commemorative plaque will take place in spring 2020 together with HE Jun Shimmi, Jaroslav Polaček and Jörg Hoffmann, General Manager of Regional Affairs for Europe (MinebeaMitsumi).
