Mosca among the top 10 most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany

WirtschaftsWoche award for innovative strength, clever concepts and sustainable innovations.

According to a ranking by WirtschaftsWoche, Mosca is among the top 10 most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. For the top list, 4,000 medium-sized companies were examined for their innovative strength, the top 100 achieved a place on the list. Mosca was awarded 7th place for its technical innovations and sustainable concepts in the field of strapping technology.

The ranking, which Munich Strategy determined on behalf of WirtschaftsWoche, includes annual reports, presentations and interviews with managing directors, customers and competitors. A calculated innovation score takes into account how many innovations a company brings to market, how many resources it spends on research and development and how innovative it is from the perspective of the competition. Adaptability is just as much a part of a company's innovative power as sustainable ideas and concepts. "Adapting in difficult situations, reinventing ourselves and finding innovative solutions has been what has characterized Mosca from the very beginning," emphasizes Mosca Managing Director Timo Mosca. "We are therefore particularly pleased that this has been recognized with a high place in the WirtschaftsWoche ranking."

As a technology leader, Mosca has always set standards with its developments - starting with the SoniXs technology, with which the company became a pioneer in ultrasonic welding in the strapping sector. Mosca is now primarily working on innovative digitization solutions: The EVOLUTION SoniXs TR-6 PRO is Mosca's first Industry 4.0 machine whose network communication interface collects machine and process data, processes it, visualizes it and makes it available to users via the cloud. This makes process optimization just as possible as predictive maintenance scenarios.

In recent years, the company has also increasingly focused its innovation focus on the area of sustainability. One of Mosca's main goals: a systematic circular economy for strapping. The PET strapping produced by MOSCA already consists entirely of recycled materials; after use, it can be recycled and used as raw material for other tapes. "For us, new ideas and sustainability are inseparable," says Timo Mosca. “We're not about innovating for the sake of innovation – we have a clear purpose with every innovation. And there is hardly a purpose that is more important and urgent than climate protection.”
