Compact cycloidal gears for medical technology
Cycloidal gears from Nabtesco are designed for extremely reliable, quiet and precise operation. The gears are therefore ideal for use in medical imaging processes such as X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging or ultrasound scanning, as well as for patient positioning or shock-wave therapy.

Compact and high-performance eccentric gears
Nabtesco gears are designed for a long life and stable operation, with an emergency stop torque of up to 5 times the rated torque. In addition, their overload capacity allows them to move heavy loads easily. To minimise the noise level in the vicinity of the patient the reduction gears are available in a low-noise version.
Despite the compact design, these cycloidal gears are extremely powerful due to their reinforced eccentric shaft bearing. Their low weight provides for low mass inertia and improved load conditions. A special heat treatment process makes the reduction gears extremely temperature-resistant and durable. The high rigidity and low backlash of less than one angular minute allow precise and smooth positioning.
