The new C-Series – Screw Jacks by NEFF

With the development of a new classic product line of the C-Series Screw Jacks, NEFF Gewindetriebe GmbH offers its customers several technical advantages as well as the greatest possible freedom to meet individual applications.

Developed at the NEFF Competence Center in Oberwang, Austria, the new classic product line of C-series screw jacks perfectly complements the existing range of products of M- and J-series cubical screw jacks. The lifting gear version of the C-Series stands out due to its spheroidal iron with high fracture strain. As a result, these screw jacks can be employed in harsh environments with vibrations.

The built-in bearing units are bigger than usual to ensure that spindles with larger diameters can be used. This leads to significantly higher lifting forces in NEFF screw jacks. The gearing is another example of NEFF’s high quality standards: all worm shafts are already ground by default and thereby allow for higher duty cycle. The high-quality gearing also has a positive influence on behaviour during run-in as well as on lifetime.

Another special feature of the new C-series is the CDP coating of the housing as well as the lubrication systems of the new generation of screw jacks. This means that on the one hand, the particularly robust, impact and scratch-resistant coating protects the screw jack against corrosion and environmental influences, which often liminates the need for additional painting on the part of the customer. On the other hand, NEFF supplies the gear housings completely sealed and lubricated for life with high-quality semi-fluid grease, ensuring higher performance and efficiency. On top of that, the sealed housing ensures that the new C-series screw jacks can be used in any desired installation position. An additional lubrication channel through the gear housing supplies the lifting screw drive directly with lubricant, making a relubrication of the spindle drive during operation possible.

Initially, four installation sizes of the new C-series screw jacks from 30kN to 200kN with a stationary or rotating trapezoidal screw or ball screw are planned. In the case of manufacture with ball screws, the ball screw nuts are completely integrated into the gear housing so that no higher bearing cover is required. This compact design leads to a further advantage for the user: a considerably higher design flexibility. NEFF screw jacks are of course also available with corresponding accessories, such as end-position limiters, safety nuts, a pivotable version and many other options. Upon customer request, NEFF can also manufacture screw jacks using stainless materials. NEFF will present the new C-series screw jacks for the first time at MOTEK in Stuttgart in Exhibition hall 4, Booth 4105.
