Measuring Thermal Conductivity in Marble: Why Sample Size Matters

Ever wondered how to determine the thermophysical properties of natural materials like marble?

In our latest study, we address the question of how inhomogeneous materials such as marble can best be analyzed. Using the NETZSCH TCT 716 Lambda Guarded Heat Flow Meter, we demonstrate how materials with slight structural and/or chemical differences can be characterized with regard to their thermal conductivity.
