What are the differences between hydraulic hose guards of different materials
As we know, there is different materials hydraulic hose guards used as hydraulic hose covers.
Different materials offer different level protection, include the PA nylon, PET polyester PP polypropylene. Ofcouse the cost of them is different, too.
They all look the same from the appearance. It's hard to see the material. So how can we distinguish what the material is?
1. Put them into the water, PP hose sleeve will float on the water. Other hose sleeves will sink into the water.
2. Simple fire test. PP hose sleeve and PET hose sleeve will have black smoke, the PA hose sleeve will have white smoke and special pungent smell.
After these 2 simple test, you will find out which is polypropylene hose sleeve, which is nylon hose sleeve and polyester hose sleeve.
