No chance for wear: Glide rails for norelem roller chains
Optimal guidance of roller chains, minimisation of vibrations and noise and prolongation of the chain drives service life? - No problem with norelem components: Glide rails and matching C-profiles are available in many designs.
Chain drives are a classic in drive technology: they ensure positive power transmission and constant transmission ratios. Mainly roller chains are used in the systems, which are available from norelem in a wide range of designs and can therefore be used for numerous applications.
In order to minimise the wear on the roller chains, glide rails are used. They support and guide the roller chains on the slack side, reduce the occurrence of vibrations and noise and extend the overall service life of the installation. The glide rails from norelem are suitable for DIN ISO 606 roller chains and are available in many different sizes and designs. They are made of high molecular weight polyethylene. This material excels both with an extended temperature range of -200 °C to +60 °C (temporarily up to +80 °C) and with self-lubricating properties - the glide rails are therefore maintenance-free. Furthermore, they are resistant to most acids and other chemical substances.
Users can attach the glide rails - which are available from norelem in fixed lengths of 2000 mm - to the system via tapped or counterbored holes.
In addition, norelem offers steel and stainless steel C-profiles that can be screwed or welded to the installation. Glide rails with integrated guide grooves can then be inserted into the C-profiles and are therefore protected against lateral forces and torsion. Because the glide rails move loosely in the C-profiles, they can expand freely with temperature fluctuations.
