ODU is expanding its contact portfolio with gold-plated versions

Gold is the most corrosion-resistant of all precious metals, next to platinum. Even when exposed to demanding weather conditions for a very long time, it does not corrode. The contact properties remain unchanged. The extraordinary resistance makes gold the ideal material for electrical contacts.

Due to their high resistance to environmental influences and their inertness of reaction, gold coatings are nowadays in many fields of application: whether as a classic signal application in industry, as a particularly durable and robust connection for military and security technology or as permanently reliable contacting in medical technology.
