Trend markets in the medical area | Part 2: miniaturization

For long-term patients from the home care area

Many medical devices are now "wearable", meaning that they can be worn on the body. A frequently seen example are devices for diabetics to inject insulin.

Small stickers on the body administer the correct dose of insulin to the body by means of a mini-cartridge - trackable via app for patient and doctor. These devices are often only the size of a matchbox. Accordingly, the pins and contact pins contained in the box must also be small. ODU's Electrical Contacts are available in tiny versions and can be adapted to almost any requirement thanks to the internal electroplating and turning shop.
