ODU strengthens presence in Japan

ODU, the specialist for electrical connector technology, is strengthening the strategically important Asian market with a new subsidiary in Japan

ODU Japan K.K. guarantees optimum service and will be geared specifically towards the needs of local customers. "Smaller, faster, lighter; miniaturization is one of the main requirements placed on components here," Carl Moser, Representative Director of ODU Japan, explains. "Our Japanese customers also demand high contact density coupled with low insertion and withdrawal forces." With the ODU AMC product family and the ODU AMC High-Density, ODU already has suitable solutions, engineered in Germany, in its high-quality portfolio. Aside from a wide range of standard solutions, the new subsidiary will also offer customer-specific connectors. "With our ODU-MAC, we are already present in the Japanese market across various industries," Carl Moser adds. "Nevertheless, we now want to use our untapped potential and enter new markets." To be perfectly equipped to face the challenges of the future, the ODU group focuses on speed, flexibility, technical expertise and, above all, proximity to customers. With its new subsidiary, the Mühldorf-based company is taking further key steps in the Asian market. The company has been represented here for more than 15 years, with long term distribution partners, four sales offices, one production facility and a total of 300 employees.
