OMEGA AIR installs custom N2 generator for coffee packing applications

Installation of a custom nitrogen (N2) generator

Slovenia-based OMEGA AIR, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of filters and compressed air equipment, recently completed the installation of a custom nitrogen (N2) generator for a client in the coffee packing business.

In order to preserve the aromas and extend the shelf-life of the coffee, the client required a generator which could guarantee 99.86% purity N2 in all operating conditions – inclusive of hot summer days. OMEGA AIR responded to this request by implementing water cooled after cooler for stable temperature of compressed air.

The client also requested the ability to test the purity of the N2 by taking samples. OMEGA AIR, therefore, made it possible to take samples from the connector N2 receiver so that they could be sent to accredited laboratories for examination and report preparation.
