Alkanine galvanizing in Tunisia:

the supply of our TE5 fillter pump equipped with PP cloths

In February 2021, OMG acquired the order from Tunisian customer for the supply of a TE5 filter

pump equipped with polypropylene (PP) filter cloths suitable for alkaline galvanizing baths.

The customer has been using two OMG Filter pumps series TE with exellent filtration results.

• Capacity 10.000 lt/h, effective capacity 5.000 lt/h, filtering surface approx 2,7 smq,

filtration degree < 1 micron

In alkaline baths filter papers flake off quickly requiring frequent replacement of filtering block and

causing possible negative effects on filtration results.

OMG is able to provide PP filter cloths designed in accordance to customers’ drawings and different

technical specifications: weight composition (warp, weft and finish), tensile strength, elongation, air

permeability, chemical resistance / hydrolysis, heat set finish.

In this specific case, square Halved PP filtering fabric clothes 320*320 d hole 50 – laser cut – weigh

500 gr/mq – permeability 5 l/dmq*min, have been mounted on the filter pump.

In the pictures, the filter pump TE5 is in OMG test room in order to be checked; after that it will be

pack by our historical supplier with a specific fumigation treatment for this specific shipment.
