Next in our movement solutions spotlight is the Omnifloat Ball Caster; specifically, the OF35-55R

As this unit is the only product in our range which utilises a rubber ball, it has become the industry standard for glass handling & the movement of delicate sheet materials. Exhibiting either a ‘left-hand’ or ‘right-hand’ bias, this unit is typically supplied in a 50:50 mix of both types which are installed alternatively to achieve a neutral conveying plane.

The load bearing capacity of the Omnifloat OF35-55R is 18 Kg [40 Lbs] and the internal mechanism is fully shielded from contamination which means it is ideal for contaminated or ‘washdown’ areas. The OF35-55R also has a much tighter turn than other imitation glass handling casters which provides you with greater precision & the possibility of more contact points within the same area for greater stability or load capacity.

If the rubber ball begins to show signs of wear due to arduous use, it can be removed from the stem & a replacement ball can be ordered and refitted, reducing servicing costs & production downtimes. The OF35-55 can also be supplied with a polyurethane ball for greater durability or a high temperature option for environments which are up to 150°C [300°F].
