Air Pressure Control for Tubing Extrusion

.

Air pressure is applied to the internal cavities through the pin or mandrel inside the die during extruding tubing. MicroAir regulators are needed to help the product maintain its shape and not collapse during the process. Tubing with multiple lumens is made by placing more than one pin in the center of the die to produce the number of lumens necessary. The individual lumen sizes are made by adjusting the air pressure of the individual pins. Each lumen needs its own air-supply line. Small tubing requires tighter air pressure precision and lower pressures.
