The modernization of Uruguay’s airports is well underway, aiming to enhance the country’s connectivity. At OPTIMUS S.A., through our local distributor EPUGNER, we’re proud to be part of this ambitious project, supplying public address and voice alarm systems that improve connectivity and safety in key terminals like Paysandú, Melo, Durazno, Rivera, Salto, Carmelo, and Montevideo. These terminals are part of the development and modernization plan of the National System of International Airports managed by Aeropuertos Uruguay, which seeks to raise safety standards and revitalize airport infrastructure across the country.

In these projects, OPTIMUS has provided a range of high-quality equipment designed to meet the demands of each airport:
- MAV-500Z6 500W Amplifier: Perfect for ensuring clear, powerful sound coverage in large spaces.
- PJ-20 Acoustic Projectors: Ideal for excellent sound dispersion in specific areas.
- SMM-8SB Message Player: A standout among our solutions, this module allows up to 100 MP3 audio messages to be sent to the PA system with scheduled programming, 8-zone control, and the ability to play messages composed of 1, 2, or 3 different audio files. Compact and effective for transmitting pre-recorded messages, ensuring constant and clear communication.

At Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo, OPTIMUS also contributed to accessibility by supplying various bathroom signaling equipment, including components from the SMC system like the LP-2LF and the CC-119F.
