TIG orbital welding is carried out using tungsten electrodes. The required electrode length depends on the weld head and the outer diameter of the pipe. The level of precision demanded in orbital welding is often difficult to achieve in standard workshops, even when an tungsten grinder is available. Each new manual sharpening operatoen takes time and money. For this reason, Orbitec offers precision-machined disposable tungsten electrodes for use with Orbitec weld heads.
