Flexibility of Our Orbital Welding Heads

Exclusive at Orbitec

Almost all orbital welding heads in the OSK series feature two key characteristics:
• They are available in both gas-cooled and water-cooled versions and can be converted if required.
• The cassette welding heads can be operated with just a single drive unit.
The exceptions are:
• The OSK 13 S micro-fitting welding head. It is designed for applications with extremely limited space and features a targeted shielding gas flow.
• The water-cooled OSK 170 GW for pipes with particularly large outer diameters of up to 168.3 mm.
Thanks to this flexibility and the availability of specialized welding heads for specific requirements, we at Orbitec provide the right solution for every orbital welding application. The gas-cooled version is the ideal choice for standard cassette welding head applications. The water-cooled orbital welding heads are designed for operation under maximum thermal load.
Thanks to operation with a single drive unit, changeovers are faster and the entire process becomes significantly more efficient. Even for applications on construction sites, the effort remains minimal, as only one drive unit is required. At the same time, our customers benefit from lower investment costs.
