TZX 225 PALAZZANI SPIDER LIFT AT WORK AT THE ENTRÉE DE VILLE BONAVENTURE - MONTREAL – CANADA

Bonaventure City Entrance, or l’Entrée de Ville Bonaventure, is one of Quebec downtown’s major gateways

Bonaventure City Entrance, or l’Entrée de Ville Bonaventure, is one of Quebec downtown’s major gateways, including a series of pedestrian-friendly public spaces with over 300 trees, two works of public art, picnic tables, a playground for children, a fitness area, sun loungers, and ping pong tables.

“Source” is an interesting ten-meter sculpture, erected on 2017 and standing outdoor in the middle of a garden, at the end of the Bonaventure Expressway. It’s a crouching human form composed of an entanglement of letters and symbols from eight alphabets representing, in part, the complexity of humanity. The work also symbolizes the unity of the communities of diverse origins that have contributed to the cultural richness of Montréal.

The particular shape and material of this statue needs a constant cleaning and periodic maintenance. The intervention has been possible thanks to one Palazzani Spider Lift TZX 225 (renamed TZX 730 for American market). The machine could easily move over the grass without damaging the garden thanks to its crawler and extremely light operating weight of just 2.5 ton. Its compact set-up – 2.84 m / 3.5 m allows it to be positioned in all places around the sculpture. The max working height of 22.5 m, important outreach of 10.25 m and articulated-double telescopic booms allowed the operators to reach all the twisted spaces of the sculpture and to perform an excellent maintenance.
