New back illuminated sCMOS series by PCO

pco.panda 4.2. bi meets pco.edge 4.2 bi

Unique technology comes from evolution, combining existing and new technology. When PCO’s tried and trusted sCMOS cameras pool forces with modern back illuminated (bi) sensor technology, pco.edge 4.2 bi and pco.panda 4.2 bi come into the world of science.

Both cameras stand out with nearly perfect quantum efficiency up to 95 %. High resolutions of 2048 x 2048 pixels with 6.5 µm² pixel size and the 16 bit sCMOS sensor allow highly qualitative images.

The pco.edge 4.2 bi operates with an adjustable cooling system. It enables the use of air or water to cool the sensor down to -25 °C. At this temperature, the dark current is reduced to 0.2 e-/pixel/s.

The pco.panda 4.2 bi comes in an ultra-compact design of 65 x 65 x 65 mm³. The camera is perfectly suited for low light conditions without the need for active cooling.

We will present our back illuminated sCMOS camera systems pco.edge 4.2 bi and pco.panda 4.2 bi at this year’s SPIE BiOS (booth #8751) & SPIE Photonics West (booth #751) in San Francisco, California, USA. Meet our experts and discuss technological approaches in scientific imaging! More info at www.spie.org!
