New MVP DC diaphragm pump series

ComVac 2017. Diaphragm pumps work entirely without oil. This makes them suitable for all jobs where a clean, dry vacuum is required. Examples of the numerous areas of application are laboratories, analytics, leak detection, and research and development. With the MVP DC series, Pfeiffer Vacuum is introducing diaphragm pumps with special properties to the market. Due to their lightweight and compact design, these pumps fit very well into small analytical systems and turbopumping stations. As a backing pump, they supplement Pfeiffer Vacuum HiPace turbopumps. The diaphragm pumps can also be controlled and powered through the turbopumps. This makes for minimum cabling costs and connections. Control is not through a relay but via the RS-485 interface, which connects turbopump, diaphragm pump and power supply.

The brushless DC motor allows the speed to be adjusted to the particular application. In automatic mode, the pump runs with an open gas ballast valve at full speed. It reduces the speed as soon as a certain vacuum is reached. This results in high performance and long maintenance intervals. The diaphragm pumps achieve very high energy efficiency through the DC drive. Due to the 24 V DC voltage, fewer requirements of the safety standard DIN EN/UL 61010 are necessary.

Another positive feature is that the diaphragm pump offers easy maintenance: Both the diaphragm and the valves are easy to replace, dispensing with the need for complex work. Long service intervals of about two years guarantee very low operating costs.

Pfeiffer Vacuum offers an extensive range of accessories for the MVP DC series of diaphragm pumps, since special orders require the use of additional parts or components. The range includes universal power cords as well as hose connections, flushing gas nozzles, and relay boxes.
