Liebherr mobile crane becomes crown jewel of German crane hire company

A Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane has become the flagship for a German based crane hire company, after becoming the largest and most powerful crane in the fleet.

Its first task was to dismantle a tower crane in the new Gateway Gardens global business village at Frankfurt Airport.

The mobile crane was configured with a 44-metres luffing jib and had to navigate constricted spaces on the site.

Gräser-Eschbach Managing Director, Frank Eschbach, said the LTM 1450-8.1 was perfect for the job.

“It was the most economical solution because of its short set-up time and outstanding lifting capacity, particularly with the hook height required here,” he said.
