Microway announces Data Science WhisperStation

Microway, a provider of computational clusters, servers, and workstations for AI and HPC applications, recently showcased their Data Science WhisperStation at PEARC19 in Chicago, IL. The turn-key GPU-accelerated data science offering, a whisper-quiet NVIDIA Data Science Workstation program configuration, is intended to help data scientists to maximize productivity

The Data Science WhisperStation marries NVIDIA GPU-accelerated performance with a complete pre-loaded data science software stack. These custom systems feature either 2 or 4 NVIDIA Quadro RTX 8000 or 6000 GPUs for performance insight at speed. NVIDIA NVLink Technology between GPUs enables a GPU memory space (48–192 GB) for accelerated data science.

Each system arrives loaded with a full NVIDIA-approved GPU-accelerated data science software stack. Built on CUDA-X AI, this stack features RAPIDS data processing and machine learning libraries as well as other software for data preparation, model training, and data visualization. Plus, with updates via the NGC platform and optional NVIDIA software support services, these systems free data scientists to work locally in addition to on existing analytics clusters.
