High-Performance Mold Cooling

Frigel introduces the latest developments in cooling and mold temperature control solutions at K 2022. The focus is on products tailored to the market segments, such as Automotive, Packaging and Medical.

The Italian manufacturer Frigel is launching the new Microgel RS series for injection molding applications. The compact temperature controllers, specifically designed to effectively reduce cooling time and rated for material throughput from 10 to 240 kg/h, combine a water-cooled chiller with one or two temperature controllers (type RSM or RSD), with one high-performance pump per zone. In key factors for high-performance mold cooling – temperature accuracy over the entire control range (-5 to 90 °C), functionality, pumping capacity and overall energy efficiency – the series offers significant improvements. Special add-on configurations are available for packaging applications such as PET preforms or closures. The new user interface enables easy operation and offers full connectivity and interoperability via the Industry 4.0-enabled „Frigel Mind“ platform.
