Plastindia 2015 with Innovation Pavillion

Plasticon Awards will honor excellence and innovation in plastic industry

Plastindia 2015 which will take place on February 5-10 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, will for the first time feature a so-called Innovation Pavillion. It was developed to be an exciting place to visit for all interested in modern development using plastics. It will consist of three sections:

Industry / Institution Section: The biggest section of the Innovation Pavilion will showcase presentations of innovations as developed by plastics industries and academic institutions. They will have the possibility of presenting their novel ideas in terms of products, process, designs and so forth.

Graduate Students Posters: An important section of the pavilion is where graduate students can present their research work on posters. The topics can comprise materials, processing, applications and sustainabilities as they relate to plastics and polymers. The plan is to have only graduate and post-graduate level R & D presentations.

Plasticon Awards: A special section will be dedicated to the winners of the Plasticon Awards which are presented during the trade show in a separate function. Here, visitors will have a more leisurely look at the award winning work and may even get into contact with the winners.

Plastindia Foundation has created the Plasticon Awards to honor excellence and innovation in the field of plastics. The 7th edition of Plasticon Awards will cover the entire spectrum of the Indian plastics industry. This year Plasticon Awards will be given across 25 different award categories, including three new categories for Indian participants and four for international participants. The awards list covers almost the entire field of plastics, from Entrepreneur Leadership to Fastest Growing Organization to The Best Performing Organization to Contributions to Environment and to those individuals contributing substantially to the plastics industry, including students.

The winners and runners of each category are selected by an independent panel of jurists, who again, are achievers and pioneers in their respective fields. Entries will be accepted until 31st December 2014 and the Awards will be announced and handed over during a grand awards function.
