They have a small, board mountable form factor.

The 550 VDC rated ALC10 Series aluminum electrolytic capacitors ideal for industrial and commercial applications demanding high reliability with operational life up to 18,000 hours. Typical applications include frequency converters, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and high voltage switch mode power supplies (SMPS).
