The peel grinding method enables the machine to grind tools with extreme L-D ratios and complex profiles. The grinder’s rigid design includes an 8.5-kW spindle motor and a wheel diameter of 250 mm (10") for high material removal during neck grinding of finished cutting tools (such as long-reach, necked-molding end mills) and form grinding of blanks. The machine uses an integrated three-axis pick-and-place parts loader. Optionally, a Renishaw probe enables touch measurement on the ends of finished cutting tools.
