For all you budding artists and serial doodlers out there, who want to move beyond the realms of 2D, comes the LIX Pen. This 3D printing pen permits you to draw in midair and create 3D designs. Taking inspiration from the 3Doodler, the LIX with its improved ergonomic design allows for more finesse when drawing. It is smooth, easy to handle and weighs a paltry 1.23 ounces.

For those of you not familiar with 3D Printing pens, the image of a super-duper glue gun springs to mind. Much like a 3D printer, the pen uses a filament to distribute molten plastic, PLA or ABS, which is heated by an element located in the pen nib. The extruded plastic cools quickly on contact with the air, permitting drawn forms to be depicted not just on 2D flat surfaces, but directly in midair.
