The Halo 28 JetForce pack by Black Diamond was designed for such extreme situations: it contains a 4 times inflatable and reliable airbag system that permits the user to float at the top of a slide. Knowing that most avalanches last less than 30 seconds, you will appreciate the fast mechanism: a fan spins at 60,000 rpm, filling the 200-liter balloon immediately.

The balloon is manufactured from silicone-coated nylon in order to avoid the usual ripping, experienced by typical nylon ones.
