4-CYLINDER ENGINE SERIES BY MOTORENFABRIK HATZ

A world premiere added to the Hatz engine family

Motorenfabrik Hatz brought attention to itself at the Bauma 2013 with the presentation of a world premiere, the 4-cylinder version. The new add to the engine family, a 2-liter diesel engine, equipped with a Bosch common rail injection system, turbocharger and external exhaust gas recirculation that achieves a maximum output of 55kW, will be available for purchase in spring 2014. In the vein of the previous Hatz engines, the 4-cylinder Hatz motor features specific assets making it the most compact engine in its class with the best fuel efficiency in its category. While elaborating the engine, Motorenfabrik Hatz paid special attention to the reduction of size and weight combined with high performance and good exhaust gas values. With a weight of 173kg, it is the benchmark in its class. The engine meets the strict limits of the 97/68/EC Stage IIIB and EPA Tier 4 final without a particulate filter. Another key factor contributing to the high power density of the 4H50TIC is the Bosch Off-Highway common rail system with 1800 bars, which is used for the first time in industrial diesel engines. Internationally known for the high efficiency, mechanical robustness and functional simplicity of its engines, Motorenfabrik Hatz’s enriches its portfolio with the most efficient engine in the class from 37 to 56 kW. As always, their strength is to develop mechanical components with a conservative but still innovative approach.
