3D PRINTED DANCING ROBOTS BY ZORTRAX

Inspired by Kuka, 3D printed by Zortrax

3D printer manufacturer Zortrax just unveiled the tremendous potential of 3D printing could bring to robotics by creating a dancing robot. The robotic arm is much like those of famous German company KUKA except it is composed of 18 different parts that have been 3D printed by the Zortrax M200. The robot can weld, sort or paint, and his head can be replaced by another gripper or electromagnet which shows its industrial versatility. Zortrax is thus creating a space for itself in the automated components and robotics market. But, this successful test also reveals several other points.

First of all, it proves that the M200 3D printer can accomplish wonders of precision making functional prototypes, creative designs as well as scientific innovations come true while saving thousands of dollars. By choosing a good combination of technologies with robotics and 3D printing in a creative display, Zortrax showed what its baby could do.

Then, it shows constant innovators such as KUKA, which continually raises the bar, are also opening doors for creative and innovative newcomers. If automation is going to be the new standard of tomorrow, it is important for companies, such as Zortrax, to integrate new innovations into their work practices. Things are moving fast and there might be some unexpected changes and opportunities for those who can seize them.
