MICROMAX BY RINSPEED

An intelligent and eco-friendly mobility concept

The Swiss automotive think-tank Rinspeed, surfing on the favored concept of car sharing, produced the “microMAX”, a vehicle combining private and public use, over short distances, in a clever way. Thanks to the eco-Kit M, mobile and stationary applications can be converted to power, meaning the microMAX is fully electric. Linde Material Handling contributed to the environmentally friendly MicroMAX project by providing its expertise regarding the electro-mobility technique. Expert in trucks, it was a natural next phase for the company to apply it to common transportation. With all these features, the vehicle costs, per month, approximatively 50 euros lower than a similar one with a petrol engine. So many good points in just one car! As its Head of the New Business & Products division, Maik Manthey, comments, “The contribution we have made to this new ‘microMAX‘ mobility concept is an excellent example of what ES&D can achieve, and shows once again that efficient, high-performance but, at the same time, cost-effective electric drive systems are no longer a vision of the future.”
