SPACETOP BY JINHA LEE

3D computer created by 14 years old student

Are we the only ones here to notice that computer geniuses tend to be younger and younger? And more and more creative! Jinha Lee started developing a 3-D desktop environment, the SpaceTop, while interning for Microsoft Applied Science (and taking a break from MIT!). This amazing new technology enables the user to grab web pages, videos and any other kind of documents, search directly inside a computer screen with the use of his hands. How exciting! A transparent LED display, paired with two cameras each tracking the user’s eyes and hand gestures, is the starting point to what will surely be the next computer-wise revolution. Still at its early stage, the 3-D desktop focuses on bringing together, for greater effect, 3-D interface with 3-D gesture controls. Ready to see the market change drastically with the arrival of the 3-D computer?
